Embryo has been playing its way through the international underground since 1969. Sometimes as a permanent band, sometimes as a loose musician collective, the composition of which changes from appearance to appearance. Over 300 musicians were there in these 28 years, and only one was never gone: multi-instrumentalist Christian Burchard. Even before the big "world music" boom, they were looking for encounters with African, Arab and Asian musicians. And they are looking further, more recently in China.
